It’s almost that time…that time that we affectionately refer to as the “Muslim Met Gala.” Yes, that’s right! Eid is upon us once again. Here are some great makeup tips that you can use to slay your Eid look…or for any time!
Alhamdulilah, Eid Al Adha is upon us once again. Outfits are being chosen, scrolling for Eid inspo is happening on social media, and everyone is excited to show off their best looks! But we all know that a look isn’t complete without serving face! So here are some tips to help you slay your Eid makeup look.
Use makeup that’s appropriate for your skin Eid Makeup - Never Start Without These Tips!
Cake is delicious, but no one wants cakey makeup on their skin. To avoid this, you want to be sure you use products that work with your skin. If your skin is dry, avoid powders and drying foundations and use creamy, hydrating products instead. If your skin is oily, you’ll want to avoid most creamy products and use powders, which will help control the shine.
Try: Our Tuesday In Love Liquid foundation, which can be used with all skin types. Set with a powder if you get oily.
Pick one feature to be the center of attention – it may be a bold lip or a bold eye, or even your blush
Part of the fun in playing with makeup is getting creative. While you can certainly go bold with all your features, it’s best to focus on one feature. If you’re doing a colorful eye, you may want to keep your lips neutral, or if you’re doing a bold lip, you may want to avoid bright/dark blusher and heavy eye makeup.
Try: Our Tuesday In Love Eyeshadow palettes, which come with both shimmer and matte shades so you can create any eye looks you want!
Moisturize your lips, and use a nourishing lip product
Whatever color you decide to use on your lips, make sure it has nourishing and hydrating ingredients. Some products can get dry as they wear, leaving your lip color cracked. Or it may settle into the lines of your lips and provide uneven coverage. Pick a color that is opaque enough to provide you with good coverage and one that is hydrating and nourishing for your lips.
Try: Our Tuesday In Love Long Wear Lip Gloss, which is super pigmented and contains lots of good stuff for your lips in it.
