Tuesday in Love’s Halal UV Gel Polish is a wudhu friendly formula that is Halal certified by the Halal Certification Services of Canada for the purposes of making wudhu. However, unlike our previous nitrocellulose-based formula, it not possible to do the “at home water permeability test” using a paper towel. Instead, our UV Gel polish is lab tested using state of the art WVTR Permeability Analyzers. This method allows us to measure and ensure a higher level of accuracy so that each batch is guaranteed to be wudhu friendly.

The term "water permeable" is used when it is tested using drops of water (done previously with filter paper or paper towel). However, the new breathable formula is lab tested with water vapors and high pressure gases. Therefore, legally we are required to use the term "breathable" instead of water permeable. However, it is important to note that our certifying body HCSC (Halal Certification Services of Canada) still approves the new breathable formula for wudhu because enough water passes through for the purposes of wudhu.

Our Halal UV Gel Polish can be layered up to a total of four coats without compromising the affects of it’s permeability. This includes any combination of our Basecoat, UV Gel Polish, and Topcoat. It also includes any color that has shimmer or glitter. Most colors however only need one coat for full coverage. Also, there’s no rubbing or added pressure required to your nails when you’re performing wudhu.

Unlike regular nail polish that is nitrocellulose based, UV Gel polish is made from acrylic monomers and oligomers that react to UV light. Therefore, the permeability can not be tested with a simple at home water permeability test. The HCSC works in collaboration with the experts at Direx Labs to ensure that every batch is thoroughly tested and approved for certification. With proper application and curing, your halal manicure can last from 2 to 3 weeks. However, it is important to take into consideration that everybody’s daily routine takes a different toll on their hands and nails. With proper application and care, you can have a salon quality manicure for weeks!

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1) Gather Supplies: Ensure you have the following items:

- Acetone-based nail polish remover or pure acetone
- Cotton balls or pads
- Aluminum foil
- Nail buffer
- Cuticle or moisturizing nail oil
- Orange stick or cuticle pusher

2) Nail Preparation: Start by washing your hands to eliminate oils or dirt. Trim nails if necessary and use a nail buffer to gently remove the gel polish's shiny topcoat, being careful not to damage natural nails.

3) Acetone Soak: Cut aluminum foil into small pieces, large enough to wrap around fingertips. Soak cotton balls or pads in acetone and place them on each nail, covering the gel polish completely. Securely wrap foil around fingertips to hold the cotton in place.

4) Waiting Period: Allow nails to soak in acetone for 10-15 minutes. A slight warming sensation is normal, but if discomfort arises, remove foil wraps immediately. Utilize this time for relaxation.

5) Gentle Removal: After soaking, gently press down on each foil-wrapped nail, twisting softly. Gel polish should begin to lift and slide off. For stubborn spots, use an orange stick or cuticle pusher with care to push off polish. Avoid excessive scraping to prevent nail damage.

6) Hydration: After removing all gel polish, thoroughly wash hands to eliminate acetone residue. Apply a nourishing cuticle or moisturizing nail oil to hydrate nails and cuticles. Massage the oil for a few minutes to promote healthy nail growth and prevent dryness.

7) Nail Rest: Allow nails to breathe for a few days post-removal before applying new polish or enhancements. This break aids nail recovery and strength maintenance.

Remember, patience and gentle handling are essential during gel polish removal. Rushing or applying excessive force can harm nails. With these steps, you can safely remove gel polish at home while preserving nail health and beauty.

If you are ordering within Canada or the US, it is very unlikely that your order will incur duties and taxes, especially if it's under $200. However, we cannot guarantee that your order will not incur additional taxes, duties, or other shipping/customs fees. We will not reimburse customers who are subject to these fees, and we will not provide a refund for this reason. International customers must determine any expected fees prior to ordering.

If you decline your package due to duties/customs and it is returned to Tuesday in Love, you will need to pay for a new shipping label again if you wish to receive your order. 

Packaged orders will not contain invoices, but your invoice will be emailed to you once your purchase is made online through the Tuesday in Love website. Customs offices do make occasional random checks on parcels and may hold your order for up to 2 weeks before releasing it to your local postal service. Tuesday in Love is not responsible for any custom fees or duties applied to orders by local customs officials and will not offer refunds for custom duties.

If you wish to abandon your order, it will be subject to a 25% restocking fee, as well as a $15 CAD shipping fee charge if your original order was shipped with a free shipping promotion.

Orders shipped to the US are via USPS. All our orders shipped within Canada are shipped via Canada Post or Fleet Optics. All orders shipped within Canada and the US come with an online tracking number. 

International orders (outside the Canada and US) are shipped via international couriers that include (but not limited to) Royal Mail, PostNL, and API.

You can send us an email immediately if you have entered the wrong shipping address or made an omission and we will do our best to pause the processing of your order. However, if the parcel has been sent to our shipping department we may not be able to prevent it's shipment.

If you provide us with the wrong address or forget to include any necessary address information, including but not limited to an apartment/condo number, the customer is responsible for paying for a new shipping label to re-ship the product.

Stolen packages. It is the customer's responsibility to provide a shipping address that can safely receive orders.

Declined customs/duties charges. Tuesday in Love WILL NOT cover the cost of customs, duties or taxes for any orders.

Packages delivered in error to a neighbor. It is the customer's responsibility to communicate with their neighbors and retrieve any packages delivered there accidently.

By purchasing products on this website, you agree to our refund and return policy. Because our products are cosmetic in nature, and because customer safety is our top priority, we do not accept refunds for products that have been opened from their original packaging. 

Color Policy: Unfortunately, we are not able to accept returns, exchanges or refund requests for opened products on the basis of an incorrect/non-matching shades. The pictures provided on our website are for guidance only, and can not always take into account lighting, screen resolution, or how a color looks against a particular skin tone. We are not responsible for replacing, exchanging, returning or refunding products that are not an exact color match as seen on your computer or device.

If you receive an incorrect product (different than what is on your invoice) or if your product arrives damaged or defective, please email us at info@tuesdayinlove.com to set up an exchange. In order to receive an exchange, you must send us a photo (or video if required) of the product and the associated damage.

For general returns of unopened products, an email notification must be sent to us within 24 hours upon receipt/delivery of the order - note that refund/exchange requests made after this time period will not be accepted. To return an item, you must ship the product back to us in its original, unopened packaging without any damage or tampering. The customer will be responsible for paying for return shipping back to us.

You must provide a tracking number, as we are not responsible for return packages that get lost, stolen or damaged. 

All returns of unopened products will be subject to a 25% restocking fee, deducted from the total refund owing. 

FOR RETURNS OF ITEMS PURCHASED BY OTHER RETAILERS: If you have purchased an item from a retailer other than the Tuesday in Love home website, you must contact the specific retailer where your order was made for returns/exchanges/refunds.
