Halal Nude Lipstick for your Skin Tone

Have you ever seen a gorgeous shade of nude lipstick online or in a store and thought “Got to have that shade!” But the minute you try it on you look like a zombie? So why is it that some colors look better on the shelves than on our lips? Finding the right nude lipstick for your skin tone may not be as easy as you think. But with a few of our tips and tricks, you’ll be able to pick out the perfect nude lipstick shade for your skin tone.

 

Light/Fair Skin

If you have light or fair skin, you can use your eye color to help determine the best nude lipstick for your skin tone. If you have blue or green eyes, it’s best to go with a nude lipstick that has pinkish or rose undertones. If you have brown or hazel eyes, nude shades with olive or warm undertones will be your best bet. Regardless of which one you choose, make sure that you pick a nude shade that’s one or two shades darker than your skin tone, as anything lighter may create a washed out or sickly look.

 

Medium/Olive Skin

If your skin tone falls under the medium or olive skin tone, you’re lucky because you have a bit more room for playing with different shades. Nude lipsticks that are pink toned and one or two shades lighter than you skin tone can work well. Your skin tone can also work well with nude shades that are mauve or taupe with pink undertones. Dark/Deep Skin

Although people with dark skin tones can wear dark nudes, nude shades that are lighter than your skin tone can also be flattering. Again it’s important to go only one or two shades lighter. The benefits of having darker skin tones is that you can also play up the nude shades with gold flecks or sheer on top of a nude color to add a bit of glam and sparkle.
